James joined Hierons in 2015, having trained and practised at Ashurst, a leading international law firm. He is an English qualified solicitor
He has considerable experience advising clients on general corporate and commercial law, with a focus on cross-border M&A and fundraisings, by private placement or through the London Stock Exchange's AIM and Main Market. He also advises on international and domestic joint ventures, share capital reorganisations and directors' duties.
James provides an external General Counsel role for a number of his clients, and represents owner-managed businesses, global companies and private and institutional investors on specific transactions.
James is bilingual in English and Spanish, and was seconded to a leading international law firm's office in Madrid. He advises clients who are in Spain, seeking to conduct business in the UK. He also advises clients who want to invest in Spain. He studied law at Deusto University, one of Spain's most prestigious law schools.
